iHeartRadio :: The Power of Music

by Kamitha Sloan

On September 23-24, the MGM in Las Vegas housed music legends, celebrities and adoring

fans from around the world to celebrate the launch of the new iHeartRadio, hosted by Ryan Seacrest
with guest presenters Emmy and Grammy Award winning superstar Justin Timberlake; Twilight's
Ashley Greene, Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D and American Idol judge Randy Jackson.

Transcending musical genres and geographical boundaries, the festival's star-studded cast of diverse
artists united and ignited the stage for the musical event of a lifetime. The most memorable and heart
wrenching performances came from Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin with a tribute to the late,
Amy Winehouse, with a version of her popular song, “Rehab”
and Lady Gaga & Sting's passionate
and emotionally epic duets of “Stand By Me” and “King of Pain” in an outreach to Jamey
Rodemeyer, a 14-year-old victim of teenage bullying who recently committed suicide.

Other highlights included the collaborative rendition of  “Sweet Emotion” by Steven Tyler,
Jeff Beck and Sting and an original moving ballad from Alicia Keys new album. Among its infused
line up were The Black Eyed Peas; who rocked the house with their “Boom Boom Pow” and
kicked off the inauguration, Jay-Z, Kenny Chesney. Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Carrie Underwood,
Jane’s Addiction, the princess of hip-hop Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars,
the incredible like-abilities of Ms. Kelly Clarkson and Sublime with Rome.

The New iHeartRadio brings users a best-in-class customizable digital listening experience, one
which combines the best of both worlds to deliver everything listeners want in one free,
fully-integrated service: More than 800 of the nation’s most popular live broadcast and digital-only
radio stations from 150 cities, plus user-created Custom Stations which provide listeners more songs,
better music intelligence, more user control and deeper social media integration.

We have the New iHeartRadio out which is taking all of the radio stations you want in the country,
lets you listen to them on your phone and online, and we are combining it with the ability for you to
now create custom radio stations,” said Bob Pittman, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Platforms
for Clear Channel Radio. “We are creating one seamless experience – nobody has done that – and then
we are integrating it very deep into Facebook so that you can have a social experience and share with
friends, pick up information from your friends and you can begin to share music and radio the way
people like to do it.”

The power of music is now in your hands. In the words of The Police, its “Synchronicity” at your
fingertips. Share in the memories with the gift of the never-ending syntactic heartbeat of our lives, the
new
iHeartRadio.
